It’s Christmas Eve and I thought it would be appropriate to post a Christmas related cover. Anuhea is a singer/songwriter from Hawaii. She blends Pop, Reggae and R&B with engaging conscious lyricis to create a style truly her own. Next year she will be releasing her second album For Love, which with the help of her fans raised over $40,000 to cover the costs of recording through Kickstarter (much like Five Iron Frenzy). It’s fantastic to see the way the internet allows musicians to connect with and be supported by their fans. Anuhea is great in the respect. Allowing her fans access to her life through internet unlike big mainstream artists. Which is one of the reasons I like this version of Oh Holy Night. It’s a simple song. And you don’t need to make a big deal out of it, even though Anuhea is a big deal.
